Christmas is no longer Christmas without traditional annual trip to Sundown to visit Father Christmas in his magic grotto. If you have never been, Sundown in a theme park designed for under 10's. It is especially fun at Christmas time when it is decorated into a magical wonderland! As the evenings draw in, the market square will come alive with hundreds of twinkling lights and decorations. The shops will be full of goodies, (forget those diets it's Christmas) stocking fillers, small toys, the full range of cherished teddies, piggin' pigs and snow babies, as well as a large selection of collectors teddy bears and fabulous collectors dolls, Christmas decorations, Santa's reindeer and lots, lots more.
This year is slightly different and there will be TWO Sundown Trips. Sundown are celebrating 50 years of being open to the public and have decided to offer children with life limiting illnesses and disabilities the chance to come and visit them on Friday 14th of December along with their carers/family. They will enjoy a magical sleigh ride through the enchanted forest and then on to see Santa in his cosy home as well as enjoying the park in a calmer environment. They are closing the park to the general public on this day so as it is not too busy and have limited the amount of guests for the day. They will be providing free entry, a hot meal, free gifts from Santa and much more.
As its a Friday however, Little Hiccups are aware that this fantastic event may not be available for everyone due to school. Please be aware that no Hiccups Committee member will be able to attend the Sundown organised day. Consequently, as well as publicing the above, we have decided that we will still be attending but on Sunday 2nd December. Unfortunately, as we are still purchasing tickets for this event, we have to continue to ask for your contribution.
This ticket will include the Santa Visit on the Magical Night Before Christmas Ride which includes a present for every child. Slots to be confirmed but we fit all the families into one or two slots together. It is a casual event and you can come and go as you please depending on your children! We will see each other at the Santa Ride. Tickets will either be posted out to you beforehand or will be waiting at the Pre-Booking Stall. I will confirm this closer to the time.
We are organising booking early and getting the tickets sorted out as soon as possible - so if you would like to attend either, please do let us know asap. Hiccups families get the discounted rate, but for our event (as its Christmas!) we are happy to book extended family and friends on at the Group Rate so will save them a few pennies too if they want to join you on the day!
