We last visited Ponderosa YEARS ago when we first started our Family Fun Days. It'll be nice to visit it again.

The Ponderosa Rural Therapeutic Centre was established by a group of people who wanted to help bridge the gap between disabled and able bodied people.

Ponderosa has a wide range of different animals from all over the world, ranging from the Tropical Jungles of Brazil to the Sandy Plains of Australia. There are also zip wires, play areas, a reptile room, a bunny barn and lots more to visit!

Little Hiccups have hired out the Lakeside Restaurant for the day for the Little Hiccups families so that you can take a picnic and eat in comfort and relax a little bit more! The Restaurant can hold 50 people at a time.

Little Hiccups has organised entry only. There are some extra costs on the day should you wish to partake such as entry into the Soft Play, the Pony Rides, etc. Please have a look at the website for the costs.

Accessibility

Ponderosa is fully wheelchair accessible so everyone can come and enjoy what we have to offer and have a fantastic day out.

*In winter our paths can get quite wet so wellies are recommended! 

Construction of a visitor centre began in January 1997. This now provides facilities such as toilets for the disabled and a refreshment area. There is NO Changing Place. I will check the availability of a First Aid Room and if we are able to use if required.
