Yup - you read that right! We have booked Indoor Skydiving for our families and we simply cannot wait! Yes, you really can fly! Airkix is where those dreams of flight become a reality. Get ready to be suspended in their column of air which totally reproduces the feeling of freefall. Super safe, super fun and super cool!
Every child and adult.would be able to give it a go. The age range is 4-104! We have hired extra instructors to go in with those that may need a little extra support but the general reality is that the majority of our children can join in on this. Its really not one to miss. You can read the full critera for flying on Airkix's website here. Our only addition would be a trachea implant due to the flow of air.
For those a little bit nervous of the idea have a look at our website for the feedback and pictures! We went in September 2016 and it was fantastic. Every person that wanted a go was able to have a go.
We'll be booking by slots - which will have strict timing to ensure everyone gets a go - so please don't be late! Groups go in 30 minute sessions and you will be required to be there an hour earlier for your pre-flight chat and to get kitted up (so first group is 10.30am start!). Groups will be made up of 7 people per group and members of the group are rotated round every few minutes. It means that it is never too overwhelming an experience. There is a maximum of 2 wheelchairs per group so if your child is in a chair can you please select the relevant ticket.
We'll also be putting a buffet lunch available all day from the fabulous Italian eatery - FlyBar so there will be refreshments available when you attend. We recommend coming earlier than your slot to give children a chance to watch before going in. To help us work out food numbers I have added a 'Spectator and Food ticket' for those that are not flying but would like to join us for food! All flyers are automatically counted in food numbers!
